This prestigious gathering transformed a private restaurant into a luxurious setting, where champagne flowed freely and new members were inducted. Her Highness, Princess Karen Cantrell, presided over the evening with elegance, highlighting the sponsors and current projects of members, as well as the missions that drive them. Paul McCartney knows how to pick big stages, and now his photographs are taking center stage at Gagosian. The gallery has embraced a new identity, floating giant walls with a striking visual twist - each side features a giant portrait of each Beatle. In the Spring of 2025, the Fondation Louis Vuitton is inviting David Hockney, one of the most influential artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, to take over the entire building for an exhibition that will be exceptional in its scale and its originality.
The exhibition, which is being held from 9 April to 31 August 2025, brings together more than 400 of his works (from 1955 to 2025) including paintings from international, institutional, and private collections, as well as works from the artist’s own studio and Foundation. There are works in a variety of media including oil and acrylic painting, ink, pencil and charcoal drawing, digital art (works on iPhone, iPad, photographic drawings…) and immersive video installations. Reuniting nearly thirty works made on market street, venice beach between 1982 and 1984. I knew about Jean-Michel as a child, long before realizing we were related. I was captivated by Interview Magazine and the stunning Richard Bernstein covers, and, by the age of 11, I had already begun collecting them.
