Samuel Kang, a dynamic leader currently holding the roles of Councilman and two-time Mayor in the vibrant City of Duarte, stands as a driving force in a community that proudly hosts the esteemed City of Hope. His influence extends beyond local governance, underscored by his role as a board member of the National League of Cities (NLC) and significant contributions to the Federal Advisory Board for the Community and Economic Development Commission in 2017. At the forefront of economic progress, Mr. Kang is a visionary, continually seeking to introduce cutting-edge opportunities. Under Mr. Kang's and the council's leadership in 2017, the City of Duarte witnessed a remarkable 17.99% increase in residential property values, marking the highest surge in Los Angeles County. Recognizing the crucial role of excellent education, Mr. Kang believes that exceptional workers emerge from outstanding schools. In 2019, he championed the introduction of CS Arts of San Gabriel Valley to Duarte. Through relentless efforts with the principal and the school board, it now proudly holds the prestigious title of the Number 1 Performing Arts High School in California. With over 28 years of extensive business development experience, Mr. Kang navigates diverse enterprises, from international conglomerates to medium-sized companies and small manufacturers. His expertise spans global infrastructure development, international partnerships, real estate development, logistics, and green technology, showcasing a steadfast commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a high-tech battery company incubated by Caltech, Mr. Kang is a recognized expert in Green Energy Electrification and sustainable environmental practices. His prior role at BYD overseeing the Total Sustainable Solutions Division, including Solar, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), and Electric Vehicle (EV) School Buses, underscores his comprehensive involvement in green sustainability.

Mr.Kang's successful leadership extends to multinational large-scale programs and projects, fostering connections with international corporations and government officials, US Federal representatives, local elected officials, California State leaders, and County Board of Supervisors.Believing that gratitude and helping others are key to success, Mr. Kang practices maintaining a healthy mind, dedicating five days a week to boxing and workouts at the city's local gym. He revolves around the notion of having gratitude and always giving other people credit when credits are due as the key to happiness and success. In addition, Mr. Kang deeply appreciates fine arts. He sees creativity as the seed of success, while dedication and persistence are the sweat equity of success. His admiration for artists around the world, especially in modern arts and designs, is evident. In his spare time, he indulges in creating beautiful abstract paintings featuring Chinese characters, aquatic nature, and intimacy. 

Barak Zilberberg is a self-made entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. He is a living example of the American Dream as defined by the founding fathers which is: “every citizen of the United States should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative.” 

Zilberberg’s mantra is: WE THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, WITH THE PEOPLE. Throughout his life he has embraced diversity and appreciated people of all different races, religions, genders, and socio-economic backgrounds which has made him a visionary and advocate of social equality.

Born in Los Angeles, California to immigrant parents, Zilberberg’s first language was Hebrew.  His Polish father taught him the importance of hard work at a young age and he began honing his skills as a tradesman. As a young adult he later became the President of Ultimate Plumbing, Southern California's largest copper repiping company.  Simultaneously, at age 21 he started obtaining properties, essentially beginning his career in real estate. He quickly built a vast and diverse empire, ranging from luxury residential properties to commercial developments.  He started his most recent company, Zilberberg International, in 2021 when he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. It manages all aspects of real estate, identifies emerging trends in the market, and consistently delivers impressive returns on their investments.

Despite his immense success, Zilberberg remains grounded and committed to giving back to his community. He established  The Zilberberg Foundation in 2021 to help the homeless by providing education that liberates them from their present circumstances. Additionally, the non-profit serves children with cancer and youth with disabilities. 

His leadership has earned him numerous accolades, including recognition in the 40th Annual Forbes 400 list of the wealthiest people in America in the October/November 2021 issue. In 2022, Zilberberg decided to take his public service commitment to the next level by running for Governor of Nevada. Throughout his campaign, he emphasized the need for bold, innovative solutions to address the state's most pressing challenges, including healthcare, education, and job creation. He focused on building stronger partnerships between the government and the private sector, with the goal of creating a more vibrant and diverse economy. Although Zilberberg ultimately did not win the election, his campaign was widely praised for its energy, vision, and commitment to the people of Nevada.
