Rodeo Drive Celebrates Timepieces and Fine Jewelry

A Tribute to Craftsmanship, Artistry, and Cultural Legacy

The Rodeo Drive Committee is proud to announce the return of the 3rd Annual Rodeo Drive Celebrates Timepieces and Fine Jewelry, a week-long immersion into the world’s finest horology and haute joaillerie, scheduled for October 6–12, 2025. This signature bi-annual program is specifically designed to spotlight creativity across luxury industries, elevating jewelry and watchmaking, and showcasing the cultural influence and creative legacy of Rodeo Drive.

Set on the legendary “Street of Dreams” in Beverly Hills, the celebration brings together the world’s most renowned watchmakers and jewelers, illuminating the exceptional artistry, design, and innovation that define the best of these crafts. Beverly Hills Mayor Sharona R. Nazarian, PsyD, described the event as an “invitation to experience the poetry of craftsmanship, where precision meets passion, and every piece tells a story,” reinforcing Beverly Hills’ role as the “global stage for elegance, innovation, and luxury”.

Honoring the Visionaries of Luxury Culture

The festivities begin on October 6 with a kick off reception on the Rodeo Terrace at Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, which will include a special tribute to Thomas J. Blumenthal, President and CEO of GEARYS Beverly Hills.

Blumenthal is being honored for his visionary leadership in luxury retail and his instrumental role in shaping Rodeo Drive as a premier destination for masterpieces of watchmaking and fine jewelry. As a third-generation steward of his family’s 95-year-old business, he is being recognized for carrying forward the remarkable legacy of GEARYS Beverly Hills. Kathy Gohari, President of the Rodeo Drive Committee, affirmed that the celebration honors visionaries whose “creativity and passion continue to inspire collectors, connoisseurs, and dreamers across the globe,” highlighting that the event shines a light not just on the objects, but on the “heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation that define them”.

Immersive Showcases of Design and Heritage

Throughout the week, the flagship boutiques lining Rodeo Drive will host high-level programming offering connoisseurs and collectors unique access to the world of fine craft. These exclusive opportunities include private invitations to product debuts, bespoke shopping experiences, and in-depth showcases highlighting extraordinary design, rare materials, and cutting-edge innovation in timepieces and jewelry.

The cultural atmosphere surrounding the celebration is enhanced by the visual ambiance of the street. This visual alignment complements the highly anticipated debut of the new flagship DIOR boutique, which will soon house Dior’s first U.S. restaurant and dining experience—Monsieur Dior by Dominique Crenn. This opening marks the Los Angeles debut for Crenn, the first American woman chef to earn three Michelin stars, adding a significant layer of culinary arts to the district’s growing cultural profile.

The October celebration is part of the bi-annual Rodeo Drive Celebrates series, which also includes an August focus on global fashion excellence, reinforcing the committee’s dedication to spotlighting creativity across various luxury disciplines.

Rodeo Drive Honors Clueless Costume Designer Mona May in a Vibrant Celebration of Fashion and Cinema.

The arts and culture community gathered on Rodeo Drive to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic 1995 film Clueless, paying tribute to its legendary costume designer, Mona May, whose visionary style continues to shape fashion and inspire generations. The star-studded event, hosted by the Rodeo Drive Committee, brought together city leaders, fashion luminaries, and arts enthusiasts to honor the intersection of film, style, and community.

A Celebration of Art and Style

The photo experience, organized by Director Maya Ito, buzzed with excitement as guests mingled for photos and interviews with Mona May and Beverly Hills officials. ACCA Journal’s Senior Director Carlos Benitez captured the magic through his lens, incorporating an innovative AI-powered prompt that digitally swapped guests’ outfits with Clueless-inspired looks, embodying the film’s playful and timeless fashion legacy. Kathy Gohari, President of the Rodeo Drive Committee, opened the event, emphasizing the synergy between Rodeo Drive and the arts. “Our third annual Rodeo Drive Celebrates Fashion is the perfect stage to honor Mona May’s transformative contributions to Clueless and the world of style,” Gohari said. “This film’s influence endures—20-year-olds today are just as obsessed with its looks as we were 30 years ago.”

Honoring a Fashion Visionary

Beverly Hills Mayor Sharon R. Nazarian lauded May’s work, stating, “Like Rodeo Drive, Clueless and Mona May’s designs have stood the test of time. Her iconic styles remain relevant and continue to inspire.” The mayor underscored the event’s role in fostering community unity, adding, “When our businesses thrive, our creative community thrives. We invite everyone to shop, dine, and experience the artistic vibrancy of Beverly Hills.” Vice Mayor John A. Mirisch reflected on the film’s cultural significance, noting, “Clueless captures a unique moment in time and showcases Beverly Hills as a cinematic and artistic hub, from The Beverly Hillbillies to Pretty Woman.”

A New Chapter for Clueless Fans

The event also marked the launch of a new podcast, Clueless on Rodeo Drive, and the announcement of Mona May’s upcoming book, Fashions of Clueless, set for release on October 31, 2025. Available for pre-order on Amazon, the book offers an intimate look at May’s creative process, featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes stories, interviews with the cast and director Amy Heckerling, and never-before-seen photos of the film’s iconic costumes. “It’s a pleasure to share this journey with the arts community,” May said. “I hope fans will love diving into the book and following my work on Instagram at @itsmonamay.

A Legacy of Creativity and Community

The event’s success highlighted Rodeo Drive’s role as a cultural beacon, uniting art, fashion, and film. As planning begins for next year’s celebration, the Rodeo Drive Committee, led by visionaries like Gohari, continues to champion the creative spirit. “With collaborators like Kirsten, Kay, and Lynn, we’re already dreaming up next year’s event,” Gohari shared.
