His Highness and Excellency, Global Peace Ambassador Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, is a working royal, an award-winning TV and event host, a Bertelsmann Random House author, public speaker, and philanthropist. Prince Mario-Max is the son of royal dignitaries H.H. Dr. h.c. Prince Waldemar and H.H. Dr. Princess Antonia of Schaumburg-Lippe. His grandmother is H.R.H. Princess Feodora of Denmark. As such, they are part of the royal Danish Nachod line of the Princes of Schaumburg-Lippe, the founding family of Hamburg, Lübeck, and Kiel.
From the grand palaces of Salzburg, Austria, to the dazzling lights of Hollywood, the story of Prince Mario-Max zu Schaumburg-Lippe is one of passion, versatility, and a relentless pursuit of happiness. Born into royalty, the son of Austrian Princess Antonia zu Schaumburg-Lippe and German Prince Waldemar zu Schaumburg-Lippe, with Danish Princess Feodora of Denmark as his grandmother, Mario-Max's life began amidst a lineage of nobility. His early exposure to the arts, performing on stage at the prestigious Salzburg Festival as a child in productions like Boris Godunov, ignited a spark that would shape his future.
A pivotal moment arrived when Liza Minnelli recognized his talent and brought him to the Luigi Jazz Dance Center in New York City. There, under the tutelage of legends like Luigi, Francis, Minnelli herself, Christine Baranski, and Ben Vereen (of Pippin fame), he honed his skills. He further refined his craft under the guidance of the legendary David Strassberg, son of Lee Strasberg, at his Actors Studio in Hollywood. This foundation paved the way for a diverse career that saw him sharing the stage with Oscar-winning actress Margaret O'Brien, even co-producing her award-winning documentary. He seamlessly transitioned into acting and hosting for television and film, becoming a proud member of
SAG-AFTRA, AGVA, and Actors' Equity. Prince Mario-Max's influence extends beyond the stage and screen. He has become the face of successful advertising campaigns for major American companies like Geico and Microsoft and serves as the Global Peace Ambassador for an NGO. His expertise in royal affairs has made him a sought-after commentator for CBS, ABC, and FOX, while his presence has graced productions for BRAVO, VH1, Warner Brothers Television, and even Celebrity Big Brother. His journalistic endeavors began shortly before completing his law degree, writing for prominent magazines and producing content for fashion, entertainment, and events. Today, he contributes a daily column to the Times Square Chronicles ((link unavailable)) and (link unavailable), embracing a philosophy of positivity and factual reporting. "I am Prince Sunshine for a reason," he explains.
A true Renaissance man, Mario-Max's heart beats fastest when he's running his own media company, hosting high-profile events like the Luxury Gala and New York Fashion Week, and immersing himself in acting roles. He envisions his future filled with happiness, children, and impactful philanthropic work, alongside a thriving career in film and television. He expresses a desire to collaborate with Drew Barrymore, admiring her cool demeanor and noting the connection between her and his close friend, Margaret O'Brien. For him, success is synonymous with happiness, fueled by a constant curiosity and a love for new projects and roles. Currently, he is immersed in a significant project: a documentary and book about his beloved parents, Prince Waldemar and Princess Antonia, and himself. He credits his parents, grandmother Dr. Edith, law professor DDr.h.c.mult. Theo Mayer-Maly, dance coaches Luigi and Francis, acting coach David Strassberg, Oscar winner Margaret O'Brien, event and luxury travel expert Lexye Aversa, fashion icon Prashant Goyal, luxury gala tycoon Samira, and ambassador friends Dr. Andrise Bass, David Daxsen, Jean Paul Laurent, and Hugues Sanon as his greatest mentors. Prince Mario-Max's story is a testament to the power of embracing diverse passions, a life lived with joy, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world.
Prince Mario-Max hosts NYFW every year, has taken on Hamptons Fashion Week, The Holiday Cabaret in Palm Beach, Florida, and numerous charity events annually. He serves as the Global Peace Ambassador of an NGO at the UN. Moreover, he is a great admirer of Roger Sichel's artwork, which premiered in Palm Beach, Florida.
