LA Art Show to Anchor 2026 Winter Season with Historic Latin American Pavilion Debut

Producer/Director Kassandra Voyagis and President/Partner Scott Diament, welcoming the art world's elite to celebrate the best of contemporary art.

The LA Art Show has announced its return to the Los Angeles Convention Center West Hall from January 7–11, 2026, marking the 31st edition of the city’s most comprehensive contemporary art fair. Building on its legacy as a platform for global artistic exchange, the upcoming show will feature more than 90 global exhibitors and the landmark debut of the Latin American Pavilion.

The new pavilion, led by esteemed curator Marisa Caichiolo, represents a major milestone in the fair’s international expansion. Caichiolo, who also oversees the fair’s DIVERSEartLA program and was recently selected to co-curate Chile’s official pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale, aims to spotlight emerging artists from across the American continent. The initiative is designed to invite audiences to reconsider themes of provenance and belonging while providing a vital platform for Latin American communities.

The 2026 edition continues the fair's trajectory of massive scale and cultural impact. Historically, the event occupies 200,000 square feet, attracts 70,000 visitors, and facilitates approximately $30 million in sales. This follows a milestone 30th anniversary in 2025 that featured a special DIVERSEartLA retrospective, celebrating eight years of cultural innovation through large-scale installations and a 60-foot historical timeline.

The fair’s international reach remains a hallmark, drawing from its history of hosting galleries from over 23 countries. This global vision is mirrored in the broader art circuit, where premier debuts often define the season, such as the first-time exhibition of Sylvester Stallone’s abstract works and the public unveiling of Karl A. Meyer’s woodcut prints after 40 years. Regional focus also remains strong; the show has previously set records for Asian representation, and contemporary galleries continue to showcase Hanji-based works that explore nature and cultural memory.

The Opening Night Premiere in 2026 will be a gala event supporting the life-saving efforts of the American Heart Association. This partnership, which began in 2024, integrates fine art with philanthropy, featuring entertainment and culinary offerings from top Los Angeles restaurants.

The LA Art Show serves as a cultural bridge, much like a grand terminal where the artistic traditions of dozens of nations converge, allowing local audiences to travel the world through a single gallery floor.

Past galleries capture a "who’s who" of culture, featuring celebrity hosts such as Kaia Gerber, Kate Beckinsale, Jon Hamm, and Amy Adams. The visual record also includes historic moments like the 2010 debut of Nick Cave’s “Soundsuit Invasion” and the 2014 unveiling of Zhang Yu’s “Fingerprints” exhibition. View Catalogs.
